I really enjoyed watching the film “Most Likely to Succeed”, I found it extremely eye opening and intriguing to see a specific school use such innovated methods of education in action. I love how the film opened with the introduction portion being used to display examples of how technology and artificial intelligence has continued to incredibly advance over the last couple decades. I loved how the film and the example school, High Tech High, really emphasized on the importance of beginning the shift in our education systems. Fostering independent and hands on learning, allowing the students to be free and creative, use their critical thinking in real life scenarios, as demonstrated in this film, are all extremely positive steps in the our worlds future education. One quote or aspect that really stood out to me during this film is, and I’m not sure if this is exactly what was said word for word, but that this way of education is preparing students for careers that don’t even exist yet. Because in our worlds future we might not have a lot of the same job opportunities we have today, the majority of careers could be completely new and innovated from what we have in our economical systems today. Preparing our future students with innovated thinking processes and the correct adaptability skills may ensure that the next generation does not fall behind and is eventually unprepared for the next age of technology in our futuristic world. I think this film could use a sequel nowadays, or another completely new film promoting the same ideas. We can never say for sure what is the best way to educate our future generations, but based on the way our world is innovated, I agree that our education systems need to follow and begin to take risks.
