At the time of this post, I do not have any new and up to date runs since my last “weekly runs 3.0” post and I am not about to cheat and pull out some really old runs to post. So instead I will brief on my running plans for this summer. I am going to do my first organized run in Vancouver in July, Summerfast 10k around Stanley Park. Although this is only a 10k, it will be a great experience to run with so many other competing runners along with my friends. I will also definitely take this opportunity to strive towards a new personal best and fastest time for 10k. Also, one of my best friends is doing the BMO Vancouver full marathon for his first time this upcoming May 5th! I am going to try my best to make it out to support him in time for the race, as maybe one day I’ll running in a marathon of my own. Post summer, there is a half marathon or 8k opportunity here in Victoria in October. This is definitely something I am considering to do as well. It remains to be seen where my running future takes me, as working out in the gym is always gonna be my central focus for the foreseeable future. But running is something I have grown to enjoy, it’s relaxing and rewarding. It also helps with my ability to play soccer and basketball, which I absolutely love to do! Running is all around beneficial, physically and mentally, and wether its a lot or a little, I feel like there will always be running in my life.
