Learning design in todays education worldwide usually involves heavy integration of technology, and likely needs too for it to be successful and engaging for our modern day students. Integrating technology using models introduced to me from last class such as the SAMR (Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, Redefinition) constructive alignment, and TPACK (Technological, Pedagogical, Content Knowledge). These models can and will be extremely useful, as it is not as easy as it may seem to integrate technology into everyday learning design for everyday lessons in the proper way. Diversification for all types of learners, pedagogy, and relation to circular content are all vital factors that must always be considered. Their is also the factor of the technology becoming a distraction and could take away from the learning design with younger students, so the technology used must be in a way that purely enhances the learning goals/outcomes, and not leave any chance of any negative outcomes occurring. I do believe technology should only be continued to be used more and more in all classrooms, as this is just the way our world is headed. The exploration of technological tools will only get more advanced, so by the time I am teaching who knows what tools and gadgets the students in my class will be walking in with. For this reason it is almost impossible for me to gauge or estimate what it will be like for me in lets say five years when I am teaching and trying to integrate technology into my learning designs, I can only predict and anticipate. Hopefully the emotional and personal aspects of teaching will always remain valued because I don’t think an AI teacher would develop children very good! My goals with integrating technology in my future classrooms will be to promote hand on learning and problem solving skills using these tools, I want my students to be able to figure things out on their own and really enhance their creativity. The possibilities are endless, and will only continue to be explored so I hope when I start teaching I will be ready to get creative myself with how I will incorporate technology with my students.
